OfHumansandOtherArtifacts

"Of Humans and other Artifacts" is a piece for five dancers accompanied by a live set. The dancers observe the relationship that humans maintain with their creations, while allowing the subject to resonate with their fears and fascinations.

Through rituals or imitation games, the dancers explore physical, functional, emotional, and magical approaches of a human identification. The piece consists of four tableaux, four short stories. The cave of Massabielle, the monster fair, the lunar exile... mermaids and humanoids prepare to return to earth.

A piece with a ‘futuristic baroque’ aesthetic that plays with the inevitability of death by dreaming of other life forms.
